Jerome Blackwell grew up in Pueblo – yes, hard to believe he is a native of Colorado. His parents continue to live in Pueblo and are very active in the community. Jerome graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a BA in Medical Technology and is an active member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity. He worked for 21 years at (Denver General) Denver Health Medical Center as a Medical Technologist and joined Kaiser in October of 2001. In 2008 he became a Performance Improvement Specialist, for Kaiser Permanente. He is a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and currently fulfilling the role of Senior Performance Improvement Specialist. He is an alumni of the Colorado Black Chamber of Commerce Chamber Connect 2013 co-hort. He is currently serving as President of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc. Pi Pi Sigma Alumni Chapter of Aurora (2014-present). Jerome is very involved within his church, and his interests outside of work include traveling with his wife, spending time with family and friends, fly fishing, hunting, camping, playing and watching sports and barbecuing.
