Grant Administration and Strategy Manager
Year started at FRIENDS FIRST: 2017
Hometown: Englewood, CO
More than anything I love to spend time with family and friends. I also adore time spent playing with my puppy, Eva. I enjoy DIY projects, being outdoors and attempting to be crafty in any way.

What brought you to FRIENDS FIRST?
After seeing a job posted at FRIENDS FIRST, I looked at the website and found that I knew one of the staff members from a former work life. I reached out to that person and they spoke so highly of the work, the people and the culture so I decided to submit my application. After that I was invited to an open house and after meeting the staff, learning more about the organization and hearing the amazing impact of the work, I was hooked. The more I learned about FRIENDS FIRST, the stronger my desire to join the team grew. I am so excited to be on board as a Grant Manager for the FRIENDS FIRST family.
How has a mentor impacted your life?
I am so lucky to be able to say that my mom, Teresa, has been my greatest mentor throughout my life. She taught me what it means to always have compassion for others, what it means to work hard, and how to show perseverance in the face of setbacks. Through my mother’s actions I learned that a positive attitude and a grateful heart are the two main ingredients to success. My mom showed me time and time again that when you set your mind to something and commit to pushing through, there is nothing that can stop you from reaching your dreams (no matter how big or wild those dreams may be). To this day my mom continues to embody so many characteristics that I look up to. She has, and always will support me, challenge me and push me to become the best version of myself and I am so lucky to have her guiding light through all my years.
