What brought you to FRIENDS FIRST?
I found a job posting for FRIENDS FIRST that I instantly was drawn to and applied. I began to research more and more about the mission and how FRIENDS FIRST is making an impact on individuals and the community. Programs like FRIENDS FIRST are so important in our world today and I can’t wait to build relationships with our partners, donors and community and share the important work of FRIENDS FIRST.
How has a mentor impacted your life?
I have been very fortunate in my life to have a wonderful support system within my family and professional career. Mentors have the wonderful ability to impart their wisdom and experience on to you, be a sounding board for advice and support, bring out your best qualities and work with you on your short comings so you can be the best version of yourself. Although he wasn’t my direct mentor, I had a professor in college who was such a passionate and inspiring speaker that it ignited a passion in me to be creative, go after what is important to me and realize that I can create opportunities for myself to achieve my dreams.
