FRIENDS FIRST is most recognized for our signature peer mentoring program, STARS, which provides support, character development and healthy relationship education to teens while also giving them the knowledge and tools needed to be leaders and to avoid all high risk behaviors. Our programs do not focus on ‘what not to do.’ Through positive youth development, successful future orientation, and access to opportunities, we help teens focus on their best possible futures. Other programs include: parent workshops, classroom education, student and adult trainings, conferences, and consultation services for others seeking to incorporate peer mentoring into their programs. FRIENDS FIRST is a non-profit serving schools, families, and communities with quality programming since 1993.
