NOTICE:

As was announced by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colorado (BBBSC) a few months ago, FRIENDS FIRST will dissolve this Fall (2022), and the STARS and Project AIM programs along with some staff have become part of the BBBSC team to continue this important work. To all our friends over the 28 years FRIENDS FIRST has been positively impacting youth, thank you. The opportunity to complete meaningful work on behalf of young lives has been a gift. Our legacy will go on forever, and for that we are grateful. We look forward to connecting with you at the BBBSC site  https://www.biglittlecolorado.org/. Please follow us there and reach out if you are interested (andym@biglittlecolorado.org) in continuing to invest in this important work or want to find out more about having a STARS mentoring program in your school/community.

What We Do

We invest and believe in the potential of every young person through our education and mentoring programs.

How We Impact

As youth develop greater social and emotional well-being through our programming, their protective factors increase, making it less likely that youth will engage in high-risk behaviors. Youth who have participated in our programming overwhelmingly credit it with changing their lives in positive ways.

SUCCESS STORIES

— Liliana

STARS has shaped my life and has also helped me shape the lives of others. Being a former mentee myself, it taught me a lot and today I still have a great relationship with my mentor. I just know I wouldn't be where I am today without STARS
