FRIENDS FIRST Announces the Dates July 7-10, 2010 for the 13th Annual STARS National Conference
Littleton, Colorado - October, 2009 - Tuesday, July 7th through Saturday, July 10th teens from around the nation will attend the STARS National Conference on the Colorado State University campus in Fort Collins, Colorado. This youth-driven conference, sponsored by FRIENDS FIRST, focuses on mentoring, leadership, healthy choices, and abstinence. The 2010 STARS Conference will motivate and encourage teens to prepare for bright futures by making healthy choices. Teens will be equipped with leadership and mentoring training so they can encourage their peers and younger students to do the same.
The exciting 2010 conference theme is "REVOLUTION" which reminds and empowers students to make their own healthy choices while ignoring mainstream media's attempt to sway them in other directions. "The conference is designed to train teen leaders to take a stand against the tidal wave of negative peer influences and to set healthy boundaries in relationships," says Executive Director, Gina Harris.

Littleton, Colorado - October, 2009 - FRIENDS FIRST is celebrating its sweet 16 birthday this year! To celebrate FRIENDS FIRST has gotten a make-over for a very sweet debut. The board and staff of FRIENDS FIRST proudly present a fresh new logo, website, and design that together will help the organization stay better connected with the organizations and people we serve. Of course, FRIENDS FIRST is still the same passionate organization with the same commitment to quality programs serving youth, schools, families, and communities.
